An Important Skill that Many Hsing-I and Tai Chi Students Need
In shooting and editing the latest DVD, "Hsing-I Class Vol. 2 -- Fighting Applications of the Five Fist Postures," I saw students struggling to develop one of the most difficult skills for beginners--the ability to relax enough to use whole-body movement in the unique way required by the internal martial arts. It can literally take several years to develop.
Here's a short clip from the new DVD (the entire DVD is 2 1/2 hours long) taken from one of the Pao Chuan applications. Watch this and spend some time not particularly on any one movement, but watch and work on relaxing the body as you transmit power from the ground.
